  • The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony, which will be held on 27 November 2007

Bad Homburg, 19. October 2007 - The nominees for the "Feri Fund Awards 2008”, which is being held for the first time this year, have been selected. Feri Rating & Research and the news broadcaster n-tv have nominated the best five funds in each of the eleven equity and bond categories. The selected funds were chosen from a total of 37 funds companies. The winners of the awards will be announced on 27th November 2007 at the awards ceremony held at the Castle in Bad Homburg, Germany.

The 55 fund managers had to display above-average results in order to reach our close-pitched prequalification stage. The nomination for the Feri Fund Awards is therefore already a special distinction and achievement in itself", explains Helmut Knepel, Executive Director of Feri Finance AG and Managing Director of Feri Rating & Research. "The listed funds are the best in each of their respective categories". In addition to the current Feri Rating, the selection criteria for nomination for the Feri Fund Awards also include performance over the last twelve months. Furthermore, the funds must be available to retail investors and have a minimum asset volume.

Following the quantitative assessment, a qualitative analysis of the nominated funds will now be conducted in the coming weeks. This analysis will take into account, among other things, details relating to the fund managers and the fund management investment process. This data will be collected by means of a questionnaire and will then be evaluated according to a standardised set of criteria. The total score is then made up of the weighted totals of all quantitative and qualitative assessment elements. The fund with the highest score will then be declared the winner and best fund in its respective category.

The nominations of the five funds for the special award  "Fund Innovations"  will also be made over the next few days by an independent panel of experts. This special award is intended to reward distinguished innovative ideas in the fund industry.
