Bad Homburg, 30th October 2007 – The nominees for the special award “Fund Innovations”, which is to be awarded at the Feri Fund Awards, have been selected. From this year onward, Feri intends to reward distinguished innovative ideas in the fund industry annually. The selection of the nominees and the winner is carried out by an independent panel of five experts including Udo Behrenwaldt, Ulrich Hocker (DSW), Prof. Dr. Alexander Kempf (University of Cologne), Dr Peter Spinnler (PS Consult) and Dr Min Sun (Feri Institutional Advisors).

“The funds nominated in the “Fund Innovations” category are chosen on the basis of their novel investment idea and their overall concept”, explains Helmut Knepel, Executive Director of Feri Finance AG and Managing Director of Feri Rating & Research. “The decisive factors here
are not only the investment theme and the fund type, but also the implementation of the fund concept.”

The following funds have been nominated for the “Fund Innovations” Award:

• Goldman Sachs Europe CORE Flex Portfolio Base Acc (Goldman Sachs Funds SICAV)
• INVESCO Asia Infrastructure Fund A Acc (INVESCO Funds)
• Lyxor ETF FTSE RAFI Europe (Lyxor International Asset Management)
• Picet Funds Absolute Return Global Diversified P Cap (Pictet Funds (LUX))
• Tiberius Exploration Fund UI (Universal-Investment GmbH)

Over the coming weeks these five funds will undergo a qualitative assessment, taking into account criteria such as the degree of innovation, sustainability of innovation and investor benefits. The evaluation will also take the extent to which the fund idea is novel and its potential for further development into consideration. Furthermore, aspects of  decisive importance for investors, such as costs and the return/risk ratio, will also be assessed. The winners in each category including that of the “Fund Innovations” Award will be announced at the awards ceremony held on 27th November 2007 at the Castle in Bad Homburg, Germany.
